THE WANTED!!!!!

Yesterday was probably one of the coolest days ever!!! I got the chance to go and see The Wanted in concert! INCREDIBLE!!!!
Back in July, Katie got tickets for the concert for her birthday. We were both huge fans of them and so of course, we were both really excited! We talked about  it pretty much every single day leading up  to the concert. It was basically a count down haha.
Then after what seemed like forever of waiting for the concert, the day came.
Katie and I were both standing in line, and even started talking with some people behind us, who also were fans of the wanted. We waited in line for an hour and eventually the line started moving and we got to our seats.
The whole area (seats and everything) was pretty small. The stage was very small! But that was kind of a good thing because we got to be closer to the stage.  Out seats were in the 13th row and we were sitting on the end, well 4th and 5th seats from the end, on the very far left.
Finally, at 7:45 the concert started. Everyone was screaming like crazy when The Wanted walked out and onto the stage. It was like a "moment" for me. Absolutely amazing.   Sure, I had seen other concerts that were amazing but I mean, I just couldn't believe that I was actually seeing The Wanted in person. Then they started talking to all of there fans and then singing.
I was screaming my heart out!!! There voices were amazing! They were laughing on stage and even came into the crowd a few times!!! They performed about 10 songs, and every single song was awesome. Then they sang my FAVORITE song, I Found You. And it was just... I was freaking out and screaming the whole time! And Nathan's solo was also incredible!!
While they were singing there song, Gold Forever, Tom and Max decided to come into the crowd!!!  They came up the isle and were right where Katie and I were standing!!! Tom was standing on the bench seats RIGHT IN FRONT OF US singing!!! And Max was off to the side, but still! I couldn't believe it! A song or two later Nathan came into the crowd and let's just say I couldn't believe it.... He was only 5 rows or so ahead of me and I was freaking out!
The whole entire concert was just absolutely absolutely absolutely incredible, just spectacular. Like there are no words to describe it!  I hope that I will be able to see The Wanted perform again because it was just amazing, like wow!

That's Tom ( shown above) and sorry it's really blurry!
That's Jay, Siva, Max, Tom and Nathan ( from the far side of the stage to the closer side)

Tryouts!

I would have to say that yesterday was a pretty big day for me. I had my first ever volleyball tryouts for high school. We had 2 days of tryouts, each day was 6 hours of practice, so that's 12 hours of volleyball in just 2 days!!! But, it was fun and yet... very nerve racking! There were ALOT of people trying out, which meant that ALOT of people would be cut from making a team. I was incredibly nervous, I tried to stay positive the whole time but, in the back of my head I didn't think that my chances were very good of making a team. This was mainly because I have only played volleyball for one year. I did have one good advantage though, height. I figured that that would help me in the tryouts. So, throughout the 2 day tryout process, everyone was getting anxious, especially in the final hours of tryouts. Tryouts ended at 9, and so at about 8:55 we had a talk from one of the head coaches one the second day. He talked to everyone about how we had all tried hard, and that it was unfortunate that so many people would have to be cut but to keep pursuing volleyball, if that's what you really wanted to do and work at, and to try out next year if you want the chance to make it next year. I was getting anxious... The coach told us that the lists had just been printed and were on the wall in the other gym. He told us that we could go and look at it now. I nervously walked there.
Everyone was crowded by the wall, looking for there name to be on one of the lists. I was trying out for the A team or B team. I looked at the lists. My name wasn't on them. I stood there, I just kept looking at the list. Until I finally realized that I was looking at one of the wrong lists. Looking over at the other list, I saw my name on it!!!
I couldn't believe it, I was in complete shock. I made the B team, and I was just SO excited that I made a team!!!
The coach had told us that if our name was on one of the lists, we had to go back to the other gym to talk with our team. As I was walking back, I saw my brother in the hall, waitng for me. I gave him a look. I walked away and he went back to the car.
After we talked with our new team members, we got to leave and go home.
I had a great plan of telling my mom that I didn't make the team and just see her reaction. My plan had already partcially worked by giving my brother the "look" when I was in the hall.
I walked out to the car, looking down and pretending to be upset. I got in the car and my mom said, "How did you do?" I responded, "OK." She asked similar questions like that and I just gave one word answers, telling her I didn't make the team. Finally she said, "It's unfortunate you didn't make the team, maybe next year though." I looked up and asked, "Do you want to know a good thing though?" She and Derrek both looked at me. "I MADE THE TEAM!" I screamed. They both sat there in shock for a few seconds before they both started freaking out with me. I called my sister and dad and did the same thing to them.
Everyone was pretty happy and excited for me. I couldn't believe that I had actually made a team. Overall, it was a good day and yet one of the most nerve racking days ever.

Northern Lights

Last night I was outside driving around on the golf cart with my brother, Derrek, when all of sudden we go over this hill and see these lights flashing in the sky. We stop and just look at the lights for a minute or so. We thought that they were spot lights in the sky, so we drove back to the house to mention it to my dad.
We drive up to my dad and tell him about the lights. All 3 of us walk to the front yard and just look up, into the sky. The lights moved in soft, gentle directions. From just little spots in the sky, to moving and kinda of swirling around, we realized that they were the northern lights. It was kind of hard to see them because it was cloudy out, but I couldn't take my eyes off them. I stood there for a good 5 minutes, just staring at them. I had never seen them before in my life. I asked my dad how often they come around, he said a few times, they come more often around our area because we live pretty far north, like more towards Canada I would say.
I then asked him why I had never seen them before. He told me because most people just don't look up. I realized he was right. If I hadn't taken the time to just look up at the sky while I was driving, I never would have seen them and pointed them out.
The lights were green and white basically. I had never seen anything like it! It was just the coolest thing I had ever seen. I stayed in the yard for about 25 minutes just watching the lights move around in the dark sky.

Movie Time

The other day I went to the movies with a few people, my dad, brother (Derrek) and one of Derrek's friends. I also went with one of my friends, Katie. So we wanted to go and see the movie, Percy Jackson. It was supposed to start at 7:55 pm, right? Well we get there at around 8, because there is previews and things like that before the movie starts, so we usually get there a little late, anyways... so we get to theater and come to find out, the movie started at 7:20. Of course I had to get the time wrong!!! So, instead of walking out, we decided to find another movie to go to. My dad, Derrek and Derrek's friend all wanted to go and see this action movie, but I didn't want to go to that movie. So, Katie and I went to another movie, it was a comedy. But let's just say this movie was mostly for little kids. So we had to sit through this 2 hour movie, that we unfortunately, didn't like. And then, we walk up to the counter to get a snack. We didn't have much money with us, $2.60 exactly. So, we ask the lady working there, how much would this snack cost with tax, and of course... it's $2.68!!! We had to walk back to the theater with no candy and instead just asked for a refill on the water, just so we wouldn't have to walk away awkwardly. The movie finally ended and we headed out and met up with my dad, Derrek and Derrek's friend. And when we asked how there movie was, they said, "that  was probably one of the best movies I've seen!" and then they ask me how the movie was, "it was alright" I told them. Hahaha.
But, there are a few things that I have learned from this experience, 1. Make sure that you know what time the movie is going to start, that is very important!!! And I would also suggest double checking that time or even writing it down... 2. Make sure to have enough money for snacks, or at least an extra 8 cents, just incase there is that one snack you want to buy, but your 8 cents short... so you can't buy it. And 3. If  you do get the time wrong for the movie that you are about to go to, pick another movie, but make sure it is a movie that you actually want to see!!!
But overall, everyone had a pretty good time!

One of My Greatest Friends

So pictured with me in the photos is one of my greatest friends, Katie. I would have to say that we are friends because we stick together through out everything, the good times and the bad times. Friends can come and go but best friends are always there for you. I'm glad that I have such an amazing friend like Katie. We can talk to each other all of the time and of course have a lot of funny inside jokes!!! "LOL ZEBRAS!!!" & "Can you sue?" Hahahahaha and of course we both are huge fans of the Wanted, Ryan Beatty & Cody Simpson & now Austin Mahone. From us freaking out about hearing music by The Wanted to watching Pretty Little Liars all the time to going to our first concert together to just hanging out, Katie is a greatfriend!!! Even though we have times when we don't always agree on things, we get through it and are still amazing friends of course. Without her I wouldn't be the person I am (and a huge fan of The Wanted). So, thank you Katie to being such an incredible friend!!!

Party!!!

So, today my sister, Cassie, and her husband, Ben, hosted an amazing party with a lot of friends and family members. Unfortunatly, it did rain quite a bit. But we weren't going to let a little rain stop us from having a great time, no way! We spent the whole day outside, even when it was raining. We had a Washer's tournament, which is kinda like bean bags but instead you use washers. I didn't win, but I still did okay in the tournament. I had a super fun time with everyone and I can't wait for next year's party!!!
